Our Mission

The MPFotA sponsors programs throughout the school year, funds student scholarships, and supports all arts programs throughout the district. We have paid for transportation and admission fees for music festivals, guest lecturers, and musicians, and we strive make sure that every Miller Place student who wishes to participate in a music or art endeavor is able to, regardless of ability to pay. We raise funds during the school year through sales of refreshments and merchandise at student performances, special events, concerts, homecoming, and via donations. Pre-COVID, we offered music, art, and drama camps during the summer. We hope to be able to provide them again soon.

100% of funds raised are used to enhance the music and arts education experience for all students and to honor outstanding graduating seniors by awarding college scholarships.

New members are welcome to join our organization at any time and are encouraged
to attend meetings and share ideas.

Miller Place Union Free School District was recently named one of the
"Best Communities in the US for Music Education" by the NAMM Foundation and University of Kansas
